God's Work, God's Rest

Hebrews 4
The Believer's Rest
1Therefore, let us fear if, while a promise remains of entering His rest, any one of you may seem to have come short of it. For indeed we have had good news preached to us, just as they also; but the word they heard did not profit them, because it was not united by faith in those who heard. For we who have believed enter that rest, just as He has said, "AS I SWORE IN MY WRATH, THEY SHALL NOT ENTER MY REST," although His works were finished from the foundation of the world. For He has said somewhere concerning the seventh day: "AND GOD RESTED ON THE SEVENTH DAY FROM ALL HIS WORKS";

This is God's rest. God's own rest and God's rest is not a rest of weariness or inactivity but a rest of finished work. God has finished His work. God has done it all and if you want to enter into the finished work of God it's available by faith. Now God's rest, and here I want you to hang on to your seat, God's rest began after His creation. You see, put it all together in six days, I believe six 24hour days, He put it all together. And once He had put it all together, He did what? He rested. And God said, "It's done, Adam was walking and talking with God, he was at rest. He was at God's rest. He leaned on God. He had no anxieties, he had no worries, he had the complete freedom to fellowship with God while he was living in God's rest. God had finished His work and God rested.

God' rest began right after the sixth day of creation. God was satisfied.

You, we can rest also in Him. Jesus, what did He do after the work of the cross? He sat down, Mark 16:19So then, when the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.
