  2. Happy Day,

I am just passing along the information from the link at the end of this message. I have not studied the Scriptures as scholars have, but this is an uncomplicated explanation for the discrepancy.

The Matthew 1 and Luke 3 genealogies conflict the ancestry of Yeshua, where in Matthew the third list of 14 generations is listed as 13 generations where Yoseph the husband of Miriam the mother of Yeshua is written. Yoseph and Miriam are the same generation. The book of Matthew was originally written in Hebrew, translated into Aramaic, Greek and so on, according to the link below.

Over the last few years, Nehemia Gordon found at least 28 ancient texts of the Hebrew Matthew in which several was written “Yoseph avi Miryiam”, meaning Yoseph, the FATHER of Miriam, the mother of Yeshua, thus making 14 generations and Yeshua a direct descendent of King David through his son Solomon.
